Dolby Atmos
Hear every dimension, with Dolby Atmos. Upgrade your home theater with a 9.4.6 speaker configuration to create a fully immersive 3D audio experience with Dolby Atmos content. The Dolby Surround upmixer engages all speakers to create 3D audio sensations from traditional content. Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization technology creates the sensation of sound from above even without a 5.1.2 system. You can also enjoy Dolby Atmos music tracks available from Apple Music, Amazon HD, TIDAL or other compatible streaming devices.
DTS:X
Immersive DTS:X audio content places sound where it would naturally occur in space, creating realistic, multidimensional audio. DTS Neural:X upmixer provides enhanced immersion and realism for traditional content. DTS Virtual:X provides immersive audio even without height channels, creating virtual height effects in a 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1 acoustic speaker configuration.
HDMI connectivity with ARC/eARC
Supports the latest technology on all HDMI inputs and outputs. ARC (Audio Return Channel) or eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) technologies simplify TV audio playback through the AV amplifier with a simple HDMI connection. eARC provides HD and 3D audio transmission such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD Master Audio and Dolby Atmos while ARC is limited to conventional 5.1-channel or PCM audio formats.
8K / HDCP 2.3
Enjoy pristine 8K picture quality on your 8K TV or projector. Supports both 8K pass-through and 8K upscaling of 4K content. Supports HDCP 2.3, the latest copy protection standard, for peace of mind when streaming copy-protected content.
Brilliant colors with HDR 10+
Supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), as well as Dynamic HDR and HDR10+ pass-through. HLG provides HDR technology for broadcast TV content; both Dynamic HDR and HDR10+ use dynamic metadata to optimize shadows and highlights as images change on the screen.

With HEOS® Built-in, your AV amplifier can stream music wirelessly to compatible HEOS components from a variety of free and premium streaming services. Listen to your favorite music in any room in the house, wirelessly. Play the same song in every room or select a different song for each connected room via a variety of streaming sources. Add Denon Home speakers to multiple rooms and control everything with the HEOS app.
High-Resolution Audio
Discover the incredible fidelity of high-resolution audio tracks and enjoy music as the artist intended. A front USB port supports Hi-Res playback up to 24 bit/192 kHz from a USB drive. Supported audio formats are MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG-4/AAC, FLAC and ALAC.
Audyssey Room Correction Technology
Denon AV amplifiers use the Audyssey suite of EQ software for easy and accurate setup and calibration. With the included Audyssey measurement microphone, Audyssey measures all home theater speakers and optimizes the AV amplifier to provide the smoothest and most optimal overall listening experience for your room. This AV amplifier supports Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction technology. Other Audyssey functions supported are Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume.
Audyssey MultEQ Editor app
Take the next step, with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app, by viewing and adjusting settings for fine-tuning in detail, allowing you to more precisely tailor the sound to the specific problems in your room and adapt the sound to your taste. With this comprehensive app, you can harness the power of Audyssey MultEQ to take total control of your home cinema sound. The app is available for purchase in the iOS and Google Play stores.
AL32 Processing Technology
AL32 Processing technology, a Denon proprietary analog waveform reproduction technology, supports up to 192 kHz sampling rate and 32-bit expansion. The technology completely suppresses noise associated with D/A conversion to reproduce low-level signals with optimal clarity, which will bring out all the delicate nuances of music. AL32 Multi-Channel Processing means that the technology is applied to all channels and input sources.
Subwoofer Settings & Outputs
Be enveloped by precise and evenly distributed bass. Equipped with up to four subwoofer outputs, this AV amplifier reproduces low frequencies to the fullest and provides better distribution. No audible distortion or attenuation, just powerful, enveloping bass. Change the subwoofer settings to suit your preferences when more than two subwoofers are connected: select “Standard” if you want evenly distributed bass performance, “Directional” if you want more directional bass performance, harmonized best with the speakers closest to each subwoofer in the room.
Preamplifier Mode
Your Denon AV amplifier can function as a perfect AV preamplifier, with the latest HDMI connectivity. Preamp mode provides a cleaner signal path and greater tolerance in clipping level by disconnecting internal amplifiers. Add the flexibility of being able to selectively disconnect the acoustic speaker channels so that the AV amplifier’s built-in amplification can be used to drive the non-core channels to achieve a clearer signal path for the channels driven by the external amplification.
The Dirac Live Update
The interaction between your sound system and the physical layout of your room has a huge impact on sound quality. Dirac Live® Room Correction applies patented state-of-the-art algorithms to analyze and digitally reduce room impact and improve acoustic speaker performance. Select Denon AV amplifiers that support Dirac Live Upgradability. A Dirac Live license key can be purchased to unlock the feature. Visit dirac.com/denon/ for more information.
