LiDAR boasts 76,800 distance points, a 77% increase in quantity, improving edge detection of the human subject and effectively reducing the search for focus. The maximum distance is 20 meters, while the distance to the human subject is about three times that of the previous generation. Thus, long-distance focusing with telephoto lenses can be handled with ease. The 70° FOV is ideal for compositions and close-ups, as it provides a wider framing space. The LiDAR refresh rate of 30 Hz enables rapid collection of subject information, ensuring accurate focus on moving subjects. Together with the motor for DJI Focus Pro, LiDAR activates autofocus for calibrated manual lenses.
When the stabilizer screen is in 1x mode, the LiDAR’s ToF sensor operates in a detection range of 10 meters by default. To increase the focus distance to 20 meters, you can tap the + icon on the screen to activate 2x zoom.
