Key Features
Unlock in a second, start filming immediately
DJI RS 4 Mini features the same automatic axis locks already found on DJI’s flagship stabilizers, which allow the three axes to be automatically unlocked when turned on and locked when turned off or switched to sleep mode.
This greatly speeds up the shooting, transition and storage processes.
Storage is made easy thanks to axle arms that fold compactly to save space. Thanks to the automatic locks, the stabilizer can be easily stored with the push of a button for truly convenient transport.
Switching to vertical mode faster
Among the RS series models, RS 4 Mini is the one that allows you to switch from horizontal to vertical shooting the fastest.
To switch to vertical shooting, simply loosen and press the side knob, remove the horizontal stabilizer plate, rotate it 90° and screw it back on. This takes only 10 seconds.
This way, you can directly shoot vertical videos that are perfect for viewing on smartphones, allowing your audience to enjoy your masterpiece immediately.
Ease of balancing tripled
Think it’s hard to find balance when setting up a camera? RS 4 Mini has been meticulously upgraded with the addition of Teflon™ interlayers previously used on DJI’s flagship stabilizers, reducing friction for smoother balance.
The fine adjustment knob on the tilt axis can move the camera forward or backward, achieving millimeter-accurate balance.
The top quick release plate has three positioning slots, allowing you to choose different installation positions to suit your camera, leaving more room for balancing.
When it is necessary to remove the camera from the stabilizer and reattach it, this solution enables quick repositioning without compromising the balance…
Compatible with cameras and smartphones
The lightweight RS 4 Mini offers a load capacity of 2 kg (4.4 lbs) and can effortlessly handle combinations such as Sony A7 series mirrorless cameras with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens, as well as vlog cameras such as the Sony ZV series.
It enables smooth camera movements even when paired with DJI Mic series microphones, fill lights and other accessories.
You can also quickly turn it into a smartphone stabilizer using the new Phone Holder.
Its versatility makes it perfect for different scenarios.
Wireless recording and zooming
After Bluetooth pairing, you can control the start/stop recording of your camera or phone directly via the stabilizer’s record button, without the hassle of a shutter release cable.
The new zoom control function allows you to control PZ Lens Power Zoom and Clear Image Zoom by simply pushing the joystick, making one-handed operation a breeze. A camera only needs to be paired once. After that, it can reconnect easily and automatically.
Thoughtful updates to the user interface
The touchscreen now displays icons more clearly and works more smoothly.
New stabilizer status alerts have been added, and when customizing parameters, values can be adjusted directly using the front wheel.
The touchscreen incorporates an automatic lock feature. Once locked, the screen will display the current stabilizer and joystick modes at a lower brightness.
This prevents accidental touches and helps save battery power.
Briefcase Handle for Mini
We developed a new briefcase handle specifically for the RS 4 Mini, reducing the size by about 20% and weight by about 12%, making handheld shooting at low angles easier.
Innovative filming
Intelligent tracking and dialing
The DJI RS intelligent tracking module, a new universal accessory in the RS 4 series.
It assists novice videographers with intelligent tracking and composition function by keeping the human subject in a constant position within the frame.
This is especially useful for orbital shots, backward tracking shots, and for tracking oneself from the camera to a fixed position when filming alone.
The module supports tracking up to 10 meters and ensures reliable performance even in complex scenes, for example in multi-person environments. In addition, even if the subject momentarily wanders out of the frame, the stabilizer is able to find it and follow it again.
Secure magnetic mounting in one second
The tracking module features a magnetic quick-release design, allowing it to attach to the tilt axis in just one second and be ready to work with the stabilizer.
Thanks to the magnetic locking design, it will stay firmly in place without loosening or disengaging, ensuring a more reliable shooting process.
Start/stop tracking in one second
With a single pull of the trigger, you can instantly lock your object and start or stop smart tracking to keep up with the star of the show.
Or just open the palm of your hand toward the module, which in a second detects the subject by starting/stop smart tracking, an ideal function for selfies and vlogs.
Responsive and smooth tracking
In the new responsive tracking mode, the stabilizer responds faster to hand movements at startup and shutdown, making it especially suitable for fast orbital shooting.
It also retains DJI’s classic smooth tracking mode, providing smooth stabilizer response, ideal for smooth tracking or parallel tracking shots.
The combination of various modes and tracking speeds allows for the creation of multiple narratives.
Robust stabilization
fourth-generation tabilization
RS 4 Mini has been upgraded to the fourth-generation RS stabilization algorithm.
It achieves a superior balance between stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement, providing excellent stabilization performance and an enhanced user experience.
In addition, RS 4 Mini offers greatly improved stability during vertical shooting, easily stabilizing dynamic shots such as during running or low-angle perspectives.
In addition, the stabilizer is optimized for compatibility with various cameras, automatically calibrating the motor force to suit different scenarios.
Fast charging, extended battery life
Compared with the last generation, charging speed and battery life have increased by 30%.
With a maximum battery life of 13 hours, it provides enough power for a full day’s shooting. It also supports fast charging, which provides five hours of use on a charge of only 30 minutes.
