2×60-watt power section of the HybridDigital type, the one that brings efficiency and quality together, to always have the right reserve of power and the good sound typical of the NAD tradition. The rear panel, with its connections, reveals a good part of what the D 3050 can do for us. It tells us that here we can connect computers directly using the asynchronous-type USB port that accepts high-resolution audio even in MQA format. More digital inputs: two optical and one coaxial so we can directly handle any other source with digital output; think of a CD player whose transport we want to keep and give new life to the D/A conversion section. So much digital but the analog is always alive: next to the RCA input there is even a second input dedicated to the turntable with MM cartridge, because at NAD they don’t put limits on where your favorite music comes from.

One more input, definitely unusual for a stereo integrated amplifier: the HDMI input with ARC functionality, meaning we can connect the output of a compatible TV set here and manage the TV’s audio directly from the D 3045. And if you want to add some panache just use the specific output for the external subwoofer and fill the room with impressive low frequencies. Or the same output can be used to connect a second amplifier and make a bi-amped speaker system. What you can’t see from the rear panel is still important: The D 3045 handles Bluetooth aptx HD audio streaming thanks to Qualcomm’s on-board chip. Better yet, the Bluetooth stream is dual-channel so you can simultaneously receive the audio signal from, say, a tablet and send it to a wireless headset. There is no limit to the use of the D 3045!
